On Now! 15th May to 16th June Art Exhibition from Lauren Buckingham

Welcome to the website of the Witney & District Museum.

The museum was set up in 1996 and is an independent museum run entirely by volunteers.

The museum, which is in Gloucester Court Mews, High Street, Witney is set across two floors. On the ground floor we hold displays relating to the history of Witney and the surrounding area, and on the upper floor we have the Bartlett-Taylor Gallery which is used for housing seasonal programmes of temporary exhibitions.

We also hold a large collection of archives and photographs which may be of help if you're researching your family tree or trying to find out more about the history of your house. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like advice on these topics.

The Witney & District Museum is a fully Accredited Museum [No:1773] and is a registered charity [no.1006722].

We hope you find our website useful and enjoyable to use and we very much look forward to welcoming you to the Witney & District Museum soon.
